Dear All,

we’re currently working on a project of a new airport facility that intends to be LEED Certified. In what relates with outdoor water use reduction credit, our preliminary calculations show that water savings against baseline are circa 92% only due to the careful species selection (all landscaped areas near the runways will be landscaped using native / well adapted species that do not require irrigation systems).

Given this, and considering that installed irrigation system will be endowed with smart scheduling technologies, total savings against baseline will be increased to circa 103%. Thus, although there are some irrigation systems installed (less than 10% of landscaped areas), since our savings are higher than 100%, can we be eligible to earn 2 LEED points?

Thanks in advance,
