We found this credit as a very appropriate way to keep our project's future occupants active (our project is a fire station) in addition to the Owner project requirements to promote exercise in the facility. This is also my first LEED project, which means I need all the sample submittals I can get to ensure I am submitting the right documentation. It would be very helpful (I'm sure for even LEED pros out there) that sample submittals or projects be included in the resources for pilot credits just as they are included in the LEED Guide for non-pilot credits. Also, is it required to answer the additional questions given at the end of the credit information to comply with this credit? I also share the lighting diagram question posted by Cristina Bayes that has not been answered yet. Thank you.
I used to think USGBC/GBCI/LEEDUser providing "Sample Submittals" was a good idea. After almost 20 years of full-time LEED consulting and LEED documentation, our experience shows that it can easily become habit just to copy or cut and paste. Efficient? Yes. Worthwile? No. There is so much value in the development of appropriate documentation, not simply submitting a form to get the points. In our 97 LEED projects so far, none of the documentation is or should be same as another project unless we're talking volume build program. Commitment comes from the development process, not just from rewriting samples. That's a one-person job, not a LEED team working together.
