The project I am working on has a canopy over a terrace, and below the terrace is conditioned space. According to the roof definition "roofs(or canopy) over porches" are not included in my roof sq. footages, but will the terrace be included in the roof area? Its purpose is to enclose conditioned space, but there will not be much sunlight hitting it.
Any thoughts on this?

LEED Interpretation #5383 addresses a glass canopy saying that it can be excluded from SRI roof requirements under SSc7.2 as it covers an unconditioned outdoor space, not a building.
However, in this case, since the canopy covers a terrace that covers conditioned space, I would advise including the terrace in the roof area and if the terrace is not a significant portion of the overall roof area, you may be able to comply with the minimum of 75% of the roof surface meeting SRI requirements without verifying the SRI of the canopy material.
