According to the language provided for the credit:
"Acceptable entryway systems include permanently installed grates, grilles, slotted systems that allow for cleaning underneath, rollout mats, and any other materials manufactured as entryway systems with equal to or better performance. Maintain all on a weekly basis."
Under the CaGBC's BD+C rating system the language for EQc5 is "Permanently installed grates, grilles, or slotted systems that allow for cleaning underneath must comprise at least 1 metre (3 feet) of the 3 metre (10 feet) requirement. Walk-off/Roll-out mats are acceptable for the remainder of the length only when maintained on a weekly basis by a contracted service."
Does the USGBC accept rollout mats, with better performance than a grill/ grate, as an acceptable version of a permanent entryway system?

Hi Tim, based on that language it looks like rollout mats wouldn't meet the requirement for BD+C projects unless grates/grilles/slotted systems are in place for at least 3 feet... but rollout mats would be fine for EBOM projects.
