Roll-out Mats

As I'm writing an e-mail to a client regarding the requirements for roll-out mats to meet LEED requirements, I'm questioning the following - if we have walk-off carpet installed over the entire Lobby floor do we really need to add a roll-out mat to boot over this space? Opinions?

Caroline- the requirements for this credit as written are a little vague about the acceptability of walk-off carpet. However, we have had many projects where we have used it without additional roll-out mats and received the credit with no problems.
