I am helping our project team with a public building in Qatar under LEED-NC v2009. Main entry has a revolving door. ASHRAE mandatory requirements section 5.4 states that air leakage in revolving doors shall not exceed 1.0 cfm/ft2 (which is 5.07 l/s/m2). The revolving door manufacturers are stating there aren’t any revolving doors that will meet this criteria. I have a hard time believing this, but have never had a revolving door on a project. We have searched for revolving doors that might comply but none of the manufacturers’ list the air leakage rate of their doors nor do they state their door complies with NFRC 400. Has anyone used a revolving door that meets the requirement that they can recommend, please? Thanks.
