Our project is on hold until the fall. The construction documents are done, and the owner just hired a CxA. They'd like to have the CxA go back through the documents now and provide feedback. We would then make changes so we can meet the Enhanced Commissioning credit requirements. Is this permissible, or have we "missed the boat"?

Sorry for such a late reply...things were very busy in my world for the last several weeks. Well, the short answer is that you have probably missed the boat. You are asking this under v2009. If the project has been registered under this version of the standard, then there have been cases where this has been accepted, but it would need to be detailed on what plans you have put in place that would meet the intent of the credit. Having a conference call with reviewers would be good, but if you have read any of my posts, you must go in with a detailed plan that you feel meets the intent of the credit. Do NOT ask what they need to approve. They will not give that kind of guidance. If you have a plan, they will critique it and make suggestions, but will never fully commit. I have done this in a couple of cases in the past, and they were successful. However, the owner was fully aware that they might not get the credit and they proceeded anyway because they saw the ultimate value of the work regardless of getting the credit or not.
