Hello all, 

I'm working on a manufacturing facility that is looking to go for this credit. I have included all HVAC (rooftop units, VRFs, etc.) as well refrigeration systems for a "Cold Room" in the calculator. (1) I'm wondering if refrigeration equipment required in manufacturing / product processing would be required? My gut says "no" as I'm considering this a process load, seperate from HVACR. Does anyone have any input or been in a similar situation - what was the outcome? 

(2) Also, this project includes VRF heat pumps for a few zones, but most are conditioned by rooftop units. The LEED form requires that refrigerant charge calculations for VRF units be documented. My approach included looking up the outdoor VRF heat pump and gathering refrigerant information from the cutsheet. Am I missing something with regards to the complexity of those calculations?
