Dear LEED users. Hope you are all dowing well.
I have question on how we will get the sustainablity values from the recycle content in ready mix concrete. If the suppier provide the precantage of each ingredient of the mix along with its recycle content, Is it required also to provide the cost of each ingreient? for instance, connrete 10$, fine aggregate 5$ etc.

You don't need the cost, you just use the percent. Basically it is fly ash/slag is recycled - so if you have a mix that is 3% by weight fly ash, and cost $100,000, you would just enter it as concrete, $100,000, 3% pre-consumer recycled content.
If you did have the line item cost, you could also enter fly ash, $10,000, 100% pre-consumer. Either approach works.

Thanks a lot, Mr. Tommy. So as per your example the cost contributes to the credit is 3000 $. Isn't true?

Technically it would be $1,500 as pre-consumer recycled content only counts for 50%, but same format of calculation

Hi Osman,
No, you don’t need to provide the cost of each ingredient if you already know the total material cost.
As this credit requirement is to have recycle content at least 25% by cost of the total value of permanently installed building products in the project.
