Would it be possible to use an area outside the boundary for the recyclable storage area? We are with the office of a company in the process of certification, but still on the ground there is the part of the warehouse that is quite large and is outside the boundary.

Hi Larissa,
Per LEED Interpretation 2607 (https://www.usgbc.org/content/li-2607), it is acceptable to use a recycling collection area outside the LEED project boundary as long as the following requirements are met: 1) The recycling collection area is sized appropriately to handle any recycling from the existing building and all the recycling from your project, AND the occupants in in your project have easy access to recycling collection bins/boxes (i.e. at their desks, break rooms, copy rooms, etc...), so that recycling is convenient for all occupants inside the LEED project boundary, for all required materials.

Has anyone had success using LEED Interpretation 2607 for a v4 project? Or had feedback on it's allowance by the USGBC?

I've had this several times, and it should be fine.
They'll likely want a site plan adn narrative showing your project, and the path and methods of how the collected items will be collected in your facility and moved to the collection area.
I also have not had issue with the suggested sizing for facilities that use compactors, which often take up a smaller footprint than suggested. I just explain what's there and that it adequately serves the need.
