I am an Architect and doing my first LEED Certification Project for my Firm. I am a bit nervous and embarassed that none of the engineers on this new Home are LEED Acredited. We are in the Design Development Phase, so I am currently gathering all the documentation for the systems, materials, etc. for my MPRs and Prereqs. Site and location have been met, but the project size is a bit confusing.
The Project is a Residential Retreat, which means there is a Main House and then 4 surrounding studio cottages on the surrounding area. All are on the same piece of property. Each Studio Cottage is only 800 sf. so, individually they do not meet the threshold. The main house is 10,000 sf and is the Retreat Home/Center (with the full Kitchen, dining, bedrooms, bathrooms and all other typical residential features. Someone will be living there full time, year round. So technically it is a Home (and it is zoned as R5)...
1. Do I include the Cottages and go for a LEED Campus?
2. How can I do this with each individual cottage sf less than the required sf? Or could this be cumulative?
3. Shouold we just go for the Main home only for Cert?
4. Any suggestions/guidance on time management and how to organize this "Team" that knows nothing about LEED Certification? I want to give my client a timeline...
Thank you, LAS

Hi, LeeAnn! I usually discourage cross posting (the duplicates could get out of hand), but in your case I would recommend also posting your question on the LEED Rating System Selection forum because more people are likely to see it there. Good luck!
