CI-v4 EQc1:Enhanced indoor air quality strategies

Print rooms.

Our project is intending on containing 2x multifunctional printers within a glass partitioned area (large floor plate so there will be a couple of these on each floor). These printers will be large free standing (MFD) machines rather than something that might sit on the end of a desk. But there use is going to be limited  - few pages at a time and not constantly printing reams of paper (there's a separate print room within the building). I know that there as been much forum debate over the years on the numbers of copies on floor printers / size but has anyone recent experience of providing on floor print rooms w/o requiring deck to deck/ negatively pressured and self closing doors.  thanks

Hi, since you haven't gotten an answer, did you ask USGBC directly? And if so, what was there response? BR Chris

I've had many projects with this type of central print areas, usually a few machines in each, but not high volume. We have not had any issues with not having the partitions, doors, etc.
