Our building is mostly residential. Must we provide showers and changing rooms for the nonresidential portion?

In the prelimary review

In the prelimary review comments to achieve this credit we recive the next comment: "Provide supplemental calculations confirming that sufficient shower facilities have been provided to serve all FTE occupants with access to the amenities, including individuals who are not part of this LEED project." The question is how should we calculate the shower rooms, is it a formula?

Hi Jorge, This kind of comment generally indicates that you are using showers for your LEED area that are also available to others, like showers in an adjacent building. If that is the case, you need to separate the showers into a fixture group so that you can add the other FTEs that are able to use it. You would use the same 0.5% calculation with those additional FTEs as you do for the ones within your LEED boundary.
