Our project is a new shopping mall that includes retail shops, a supermarket, and restaurants. All parking spaces are located in basement floors (basement 1 to 6). While we were allocating the preferred parking spaces, the owner mentioned that the first basement parking spaces will be all reserved to the supermarket.
In order to comply with IEQc4.3, can we allocate the preferred parking spaces for the first basement separately, and the remaining preferred spaces at the second basement? Or do we have to put all preferred parking spaces in the first basement?

Please refer to LEED Interpretation #10202. "Preferred parking spaces in a garage are those that are the shortest combined driving distance from the parking garage entrance and walking distance to the project building's main entrance(s)" which depending on the garage design probably means putting all LE/FEV parking in the first basement.
