This team had lively discussions about the definition of non-regularly occupied spaces that SHOULD or SHOULD NOT have views.
Part of this project was the repurposing of a building from being an elementary school to being a middle school. The concept of providing views that divert classroom attention was completely different than the discussion interaction with outdoors in hallways, common spaces, etc. given the change in age group of the incoming students.
This credit provided an opportunity that may not have happened.

We also discussed why the credit would require inclusion of all nonregularly occupied space that would count against the project in the efforts to meet the thresholds in the more meaningful spaces. Example, including storage areas and mech/elec/telecom closets (which would never logically have, want, or need a window, versus spaces like circulation and stairs, which stand to benefit the users directly. I would like to see this criteria revised to refine what nonregularly occupied spaces can be excluded from the applicable total.
This would especially matter in less typical project buildings, like central utility plants.

Also restrooms, we are considering to include Quality Views but with obstruction such as louvers to mantain privacity.
