"USGBC only allows the full point value of the credit to be earned if both Option 1 and Option 2 are met."

Does this mean that if you attempt points under both options that you can only achieve this with the most points - 6+2 = 8?  Can you achieve 3 points under Option 1 and 1 under Option 2?  Or would you only be able to claim 3 points, even if you met the 7 diverse uses for the additional point?

Hi Deborah,  For this credit, each option is all-or-nothing for the points. You are allowed to pursue one Path under each Option. For Option 1 Path 1, if you meet all requirements you would earn 3 points; for Path 2, you'd earn all 6. For Option 2 Path 1, if you meet all requirements you would earn 1 point; for Path 2, you'd earn 2. 
So, depending on the combination of Options and Paths you choose, you'd be eligible to independently meet each. The max that can be achieved here would be Option 1 Path 2 + Option 2 Path 2 for a total of 8 points. Does that clarify what you're asking?
