The energy used by electric vehichle charging stations within the LEED Project Boundary is not included within the eneryg model. I am wondering, if electric vehicle charging was 'locked out' during peak events could this contribute to peak electricity shaving?

Dave,
Are you thinking of how it applies to the current v4 EAc4 DR rqmts, v4.1 EAc4 Grid Harmonization, v4 pilot GridOptimal or how it might work within the EAp2 prereq?
I haven't kept track of V2G but hope to learn that we can use cars for load shifting in the not too distant future ...as I fly over traffic with my jetpack. LOL. Those in CA might have good experience in how the CA IOUs treat EV charging during peak events.

Hi Jamy, thanks for your response.
This particular project is moving into construction and has the design review application approved by GBCI.
We are evaluating various demand response / grid harmonization strategies. The list includes the strategy and the calculated / estimated peak electrical load.
Our fear is that GBCI will state "EV is not included in the energy model and thus cannot contribute as a peak shaving strategy for the Grid Harmonization credit".
