Hi! Our project building is a major renovation and provides parking spaces in the garage of another building placed a block away and not being within the LEED boundary since it is not part of the project scope. As far as I know this can be accepted for alternative transportation credits. I wonder however if it can also meet the requirements for SSc7.1 and Option 2. Parking spaces are under cover. Any ideas?

I thought you could include reserved off-site parking. But scrolling through peoples comments here and under NC makes me think you can’t include them for this credit. However in the LEED Online form, table SSc7.1-4 indicates that off-site parking can be included (see the text where you enter total number of parking spaces provided). So I’m confused too, which is it?

Hi
Have anyone sorted this out?
We're struggling with the same issue. We have some underground parking within the LEED-boundary (under the building) and we also have some parking spaces in another parking garage. Should we or should we not include this parking spaces in the calculation for SSc7.1? Are they compliant or not, should we register them in the table as "Number of all other spaces under cover, including spaces under a deck" or do they just contribute to the total number of parking spaces?

The advice I have been given is that above all, the total parking value must be consistent across all credits. You must include the parking spaces within the LPB and you must also include parking spaces that are leased or owned by the project (including parking that is outside the project boundary but is used by the project).
