Dear all,
My building is a multi residential building and will be build above a public parking (the excavation and construction of the parking is not in my project scope) but since part of the public parking will be below my building, the city hall decided to give us the space below my building in the first three floors of the parking, so I can have parking places for my building users and some storage rooms.
Since the parking is not in the scope of my project and I will not include it in the LEED boundary, can I use the parking places that the public entity will give me for this credit if I provide preferred parking for 5% of the total to low-emitting cars?
Also, how does it work with the next credit SSc4.4? I am not providing new parking but I will try to get the SSc4.3 with the parking places that the public parking will give to my building, will it work??
Thanks!

Since it is difficult to estimate the exact number of low emitting vehicles that may be used by building occupants or visitors, SSc4.3 Option 1 requires the provision of preferred parking spaces tequal to 5% of total parking spaces. In your case, the total parking would equal the number of spaces allocated to your project by the City. The same would apply for Option 1 of SSc4.4 for carpool spaces.
