Our project has a district heating and cooling system. The inside of the pipes that connect the building with the district heating and cooling system have a paint. Does that paint fall inside the scope of credit c4.2? I would think not, because the paint is on the inside of the tubes and the water inside the system does not get in contact with inside air in the building. It goes to a heatpump where the heat or cold is exchanged. Can anyone confirm that this is a correct way of considering this paint?

Dear Emmanuel,
I confirm with you that the correct way is considering this paint is out of any calculations related to IEQc4.2 since the system does not get in contact with inside air in the building.

Also, if the paints are applied off site, as they often are, then they're automatically out of the picture.
