CI-v4 MRc3:Building product disclosure and optimization - environmental product declarations

Option 2 "reduction below industry average"

For option 2 it states the products must demonstrate impact reduction below industry average in at least 3 categories. Where do I find those "industry averages" to know if my products qualify? They don't seem to be listed on the EPDs.

No, I have had absolutely no response.

Instead of providing the "industry averages", the credit relies on unspecified third-party certifiers to determine what the industry averages are, and which products meet them. I haven't found any info on which organizations will be doing this work, let alone what their certifications would be called.

The industry average comes from an industry-wide EPD—so in order to meet the credit, the product would need to have both an industry-wide EPD and a product-specific Type III EPD, AND would have to compare favorably with the industry average. There are few products that meet these criteria at the moment, but manufacturers are catching up.

Does anyone know of a good source for Industry Wide Generic EPD's to start to make these comparisons? update: another option is to have a product specific EPD that compares itself over time. From the USGBC site CIR: http://www.usgbc.org/content/10415 There is no specific minimum time period specified however, 1 year apart, 5 years, or even it could be 2 months I suppose.
