Is Athena the only free LCA tool to use to get the 1 point whole building assessment? I was using EC3 Tool, but it isn't accounting for all the environmental impacts outside of Global Warming Potential and currently is focused on the product stage of emissions. If Athena, is there a quick way to convert a Revit takeoff into Athena, which is really designed for simple, rectilinear buildings?

Athena does have the ability to import a "bill of materials" output from a BIM program. I think one of Athena's strengths is the ability to set up envelope assemblies and structural systems (although there are a limited number of materials that are pre-defined.) Once you've done that, it is pretty easy to input area takeoffs from the revit model, or even a cost estimate.
