Hello,
We have a CI project that is basically a renovation of an entire 8-floor building. We're not providing any additional parking, but the building does have an attached 3-floor garage (albeit outside the LEED boundary). Can we claim option 1 in this case for not adding any "addtional" parking?

Waleed, note that the reference guide states, "The credit calculations must include all existing and new off-street parking spaces that are leased or owned by the project, including parking that is outside the project boundary but is used by the project." So if any of the spaces in the garage are leased or owned by the project entity (tenant/owner for use by occupants of the building) those spaces would be considered for the credit calculations.

Thanks Summer! I figured, but was worth asking.

Adding to this query: We are working on a lounge inside an airport. If there is no mention of parking in the lease for this space, and no mention of fees related to maintenance of the parking lots, can we safely assume there is no parking included in the lease for the project? If there is no parking designated for the project or any mention of parking in the lease, can we safely assume we meet option 1?
