I'm working on a office building which is served by water cooled VRF and the ground floor consists of assembly area (heavy machines) which is also served by WC VRF but separate ODU for the office and the assembly areas, the LEED certification is done only for the office area which is roughly 4000ft2 with no factory related activities and it's approved by LEED coach for further progression. We do have one cooling tower , a pump & heat exchanger on the high side. My query is whether I should model it as a DES (purchased chilled water) in both baseline and proposed model or can I model the assembly area and assign the separate meter for all the end uses to show the energy consumption.
