Greetings,
We are facing the following issue, for which we’d need some assistance/advice.
The project design (Proposed model) iis structured mainly on VRF systems. At the same time there are VAV boxes applied in order to follow the DCV control in providing the needed OA flow in relation with the people presence in the room.
The Baseline model was set to Std. 62.1-2010 and the Proposed to Std. 62.1-2010 with a 30% increased as it aims for this option.
The design OA airflow of the project design, due to some requirements, specified int its design assignment, appears to provide OA flow via its AHUs some more OA flow than 30% increase, which is illustrated in the IAQ Min. Perf. Calc.
We’ve entered all of the fan power data as per the AHUS’ selection which corresponds to the OA selection of them (meaning more than 30% increased).
The question is:
In the MEPC (Minimum Energy Performance Calculator), which OA ventilation value to enter:
- The one as per the AHU selection or
- - the one as per the Std.62.1-2010 Increase ventilation.
Your advices id highly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Mr.Vassilev,
In your case, I think that you enter the value of OA flow per the AHU selection (more than 30%).
Noted: the value of the proposed OA flow in MEPC same as the value designed in the form of "IAQ performance calculator".
I hope the answer is necessary

The Proposed OA flow should always be modeled (and entered in the MEPC) as-designed, even if this exceeds the 30% increase.
