Hi,
I am currently preparing an energy model for a data center project (system 8). Since the process load is very high, 22 chillers and cooling towers are required if I stick to the requirement in Appendix G Table G3.1.3.7 which states that no chillers shall be sized larger than 2813kW. Have I missed something, perhaps an exemption somewhere, because this seems a bit odd.

It depends.
Cooling a data center could be considered a process load. If the cooling system cools the equipment directly it might be considered a process load itself. Then it would be modeled identical to the proposed.
