CS-2009 SSc9:Tenant Design and Construction Guidelines

Non english version

Hi, I'm working in a C&S project located in Madrid. As tenants should be spanish Do I have to translate the whole document?. Could it be reasonable to provide full spanish version with an english summary? Thanks

I think you could just provide an english summary. Translating the whole document seems unreasonable. Plus, GBCI likely has someone on staff who could read the spanish version.

We usually submit the documents in spanish with relevant information highlighted and translated to English. However, we had an experience where a reviewer wanted to have the whole "systems manual" translated to American english. The systems manual was a 400-page document and this issue was solved by removing from the pdf any page written in Spanish. I hope from now on the reviewers will get used to receiving documents in Spanish, since it is useless for the O&M staff having documents in English.
