I'm working on a convention center, and they don't buy many office supplies. Their major purchases are cleaning supplies ( and fits in the IEQ- green cleaning credit) and uniforms. Can uniforms count towards ongoing consumables? The uniforms are rented and repaired so I think they fit with the intent of the credit as an "extended use" item. Any advice would be much appreciated!

My initial reaction is that uniforms fall outside the scope of this credit. You might be able to make an argument for including them if you have solid sustainability criteria for new uniform purchases. But I don't think the extended use approach is likely to be accepted by GBCI.
