SMACNA standard recommends under Pathway Interruption (IAQ Management Plan) that : "Depending on weather conditions, the contractor should ventilate using 100% outside air to exhaust contaminated air directly to the outside during installation of VOC-emitting materials". Does this mean that natural ventilation is sufficient to comply or do we still need to have mechanical equipment such as fans?
If we are using all low VOC materials, are they still considered as "VOC emitting"?

Low VOC materials still emit VOCs. Natural ventilation would be acceptable. However, more often I see contractors using temporary exhaust fans.
