Hi,
I am working on C & S project wherein 4 AHU's are serving an entire office area per floor. Although we know that a single tenant is occupying entire building, what we do not know is how these 4 AHU's will be ducted in the office, since duct work is under tenant scope of work. So is it possible for the C & S project to submit VRP compliance calculator by adding up all AHU's and assume certain percentage of conditioned area as conference rooms/meeting rooms? Or Do we have to assume office area for each AHU and perform VRP calculations. Please suggest.

I've noticed that GBCI wants separate calculations per AHU. If you only assume office space, you'll probably under supply air for conference rooms in the future. Go with the certain % of conference rooms as you suggested.

Hi, Just wondering if you add a certain % area for meeting rooms do you then need to deduct the same % floor area from the open plan office areas as these meeting rooms will be constructed with the core and shell office space. Otherwise you would be double counting the same areas ?

I would say that you "divide" the tenant space with different uses, for instance: 15% for meeting rooms, 15% for corridors and the remaining 70% for open office. This calculation is critical for the meeting rooms when you have VAV boxes.
