Hi All - working on a project that has 3 older houses on the property. 2 of them will be moved to a new location and put back into use as residences (the 3rd isn't in good enough shape to move). I'm thinking that the value of these 2 salvaged houses would count towards the Material Reuse values? Has anyone gone down this path before and if so, did you use the building value from tax records for valuation?

Hi Laura - Did you receive any feedback on this from the forum or your LEED Coach? We have a similar situation on a project and am wondering what the best approach might be to quantify the reuse. Thanks!

I have not received any feedback. The project owner has now also been approached by the local fire dept asking if they could burn the houses down for training, if they're not moved. So now I'm wondering if utilizing the existing building for community safety training would count?
