We would like our proposed model to meet a minimum of 30% increased energy performance. After modeling, the potential increase is 44%. Is it possible to submit the credit showing a 30% increase and if the M&V credit shows the increase at the 44% range, change the credit submittal then? Or is there some way to redeem those points later?

For EAc1 you submit the modeling results for evaluation and this determines the number of points. The model submitted for this credit must be consistent with the modeling information included in your M&V Plan for EAc5. If the model is showing a 44% savings then that is what should be submitted. Not sure why anyone would want to submit for less savings that the modeling results indicate. This would cost you several points and require you to make up stuff in the models to get down to the 30% (assuming everything is correct in the models showing a 44% savings).
Typically credits are given two reviews, preliminary and final. If you wish to add any points after the reviews are complete you would need to appeal the credit(s).
