I started a previous thread on DX systems. Let me step back and see if anyone can help me with my larger question - Do we have to model the design airflow rate of our proposed system? A comment I have from a USGBC reviewer makes me believe we do. I've always interpreted this statement from Table G3.1 of Appendix G to mean we modeled the HVAC system type and control paramenters as designed, not input actual airflow into our model.
"(b) Where an HVAC system has been designed, the HVAC model shall be consistent with the design documents."
Thanks!

The intent of Appendix G is that you model the design as documented in the design documents. This would include airflows.
