Dear All,
In what relates to credit EA C6 and following option 2 (Estimate baseline electricity use) for an Office Building, we are considering using a non-default median electrical intensity determined from CBECS 2012 Table C20, Marine climate (climate that applies to this location), 48 - 60 hours per week (119 kWh/sqm/year). This energy intensity indicator is much closer to the energy use intensity expected for the building (based on EAc1 – Whole Building Simulation in aggregate DES/Building scenario) than the default MEI for office building.
Is this strategy acceptable?
Thanks in advance.

Why are you trying to use the CBECS data when you have modeling results? If I recall correctly when you have a model you have to use it and not he CBECS data.
