NC-2009 EAc1:Optimize Energy Performance

Make Up OA unit and energy modelling

my project is a hotel with the fan coils and Outdoor Air Units supplying the OA to each room. I am the eQUEST user and know that the software does not allow the modelling of saparated OA system or Didicated OA system. Can I model the fan as direct load connect to the electric meter of the proposed model? and what should I do with baseline model? Do I have to model the OA fan inditical to the proposed? what fan power of the system should I use (system 1-8 in ASHRAE 90.1 appendix G)? Thanks Jatuwat

I think, you can model OA fan system power. fan supplying outside air to building may consider as a supply fan. so, you can include this fan power in the calculation of total system fan power. total system fan power is the sum of all supply, exhaust and return fans power. Get confirmed on this issue. If it is not possible to model show it in the exceptional calc,(as per definition of exceptional calc in ASHRAE)

Thanks Pawan Do you have any idea on the baseline model and its fan power of OA system? For the good camparison, the baseline should have this energy consumption from this OA, i think.
