We have a parking deck that is LEED certified. We have several EV charging stations in employee and visitor areas.
To offset the cost of the electricity usage, we are considering charging a slightly higher monthly rate for permits to use spaces with EV charging stations. However, I'm concerned this action might jeopardize our LEED certification. Does anyone know if this will or how it could cause an issue for us? Thank you for your help!

Tim, Couple of problems here. 1. In and of itself a parking garage cannot gain a LEED rating. 2. As part of a LEED commercial building yes it can by inference 'gain a rating' and I'm supposing that your 'deck' is part of an existing LEED building and that's why your calling oit 'LEED Certified'. In either case what you charge for the space or not has no bearing in LEED.

They used to be able to be certified... just couldn't register one after that May 2011 LEED Interpretation came out. http://www.leeduser.com/topic/leed-certifications-parking-garages-no-lon...
