I this question on the v4.1 forum, but have received an answer and am hoping for better results on the v4.0 forum.
Is the distance from building entry to the long term storage based on actual walking distance...ie the path a pedestrian would take or a radial dimension?
I ask this question because one possible location is next to a propose bus stop and we are looking to do a combination bus stop, long-term bike storage pavilion. This location is radially within the required 300 feet of a building entry, but the actual walking distance, if pedestrian uses the sidewalk and doesn't just walk straight across the parking lot will be approximately 320 feet +/-.
Does this meeting the credit requirements?

Hi Catherine, I think I just answered your other post but wanted to close the loop here as well. The distance is actual path the pedestrian would take, not radial dimension. This is a change from previous LEED versions where radial distance was accepted. Sounds like you are right on the edge at 320 feet. Can you shift it 20 feet at all? Or create a more direct walking path that would meet the distance limitation?
