Pilot-Credits EQpc116:Daylight in nonregularly occupied spaces

LM-83 and spaces greater than 10,000 SF

Opening a new comment.

Our Project is a large university campus thermal energy plant and the chiller room alone is over 10,000 SF and the largest space in the building.  Our daylight modeler noted that LM-83 typically asks for daylit spaces to be divided (virtually) into segments of less than 10,000 SF.  As a workaround we are dividing the room in Revit with a boundary line.  Has anyone else had this issue arise, and if so, did you handle this the same way or use another way?  Thanks for any feedback.

Very late reply, hope it is helpful to someone. When I have a room larger than 10,000 SF, I just divide it into segments. For example if I had a 15,000 SF room that didn't have obvious dividing points, I would make it two 7,500 SF rooms.
