Section 9.4.1.2 Space Control indicates that restrooms must have an occupancy sensor. We have a dorm project where each two dormrooms has a shared bathroom. My understanding is that since the bathroom is inside the living quarters (i.e. private) the lighting control requirement doesn't apply here, as this is intended for public restrooms, like those in classroom buildings or library.
Has anyone faced this issue before and gotten a comment on it from a reviewer?
