Lighting Control for Dormitory

Hi,

We use the v4 NC rating system for a school dormitory project. As said in ASHREA 90.1-2010, "lighting within dwelling units" are the exception for Lighting chapter 9 scope. Can I regard the Living Quarters in dormitories as the "dwelling units" and do not consider the lighting control listed in 9.4 Mandatory Provisions for lighting control ?

No dorm rooms are not typically dwelling units. See the definition of dwelling unit.
