We are working on the modernization of the Visitor's Center at the El Yunque National Rainforest in Puerto Rico.  El Yunque is a USFS National Park, and the forest is managed by the USFS and USDA

Our question: does the wood harvested on-site and incorporated into the project comply with ASTM D7612-10, and how would we document this?  The Legal Wood calculator sourcing tab does not have a category for this, it lists only alternative forest management sources.

Background

During Hurricane Maria, many trees were felled or severely damaged.  Some of these trees were tropical hardwood varieties, and the USFS developed a program to harvest the wood from a portion of the felled trees and use the wood in buildings found within El Yunque.  Early in the project, our design team identified this felled wood as a possible source of sustainably harvested wood, and then specified wood from a mahogany tree to be incorporated in the design of the Visitors Center reception desk, and a number of displays in the interpretive exhibit area.

FSC sourced wood was specified for wood veneer doors and cabinetry.

Any feedback would be most welcome.
