Hello to all! I hope for everyone's safety and health during these uncertain times.
My team is just wondering, are there any updates from the USGBC/GBCI regarding the sunset deadlines for projects pursuing LEED v2009? This is supposed to be in June 2021. Will there be any extensions in conncetion to the COVID-19 situation?
Construction activites here in the Philippines are currently on hold; thus our scehudle of CxA activites are also delayed due to today's situation.
Thank you very much! God Bless.

While I have not seen any extensions connected to COVID-19, below can be found a response from GBCI regrding a LEED 2009 project I have that will not complete construction until November 2023:
To certify a project using one of the v2009 rating systems listed on our website<https://www.usgbc.org/articles/leed-2009-sunset-dates-and-upgrade-details>, you must submit for at least one stage of review prior to the sunset date. GBCI(r) will continue to accept initial applications (for Design or Standard preliminary review) for certification until the LEED v3 sunset date of June 30, 2021. After June 30, 2021, for project teams that have already submitted an initial application, full access (including the ability to submit for review) will remain available throughout the remaining time allotted to your team to finish the certification process.
We understand that construction will often require more time than the 18 months noted in the website linked article. We ask that project teams keep us informed during construction after the sunset date.
I would submit a question via the "feedback" button in LEEDonline and inquire about this for your specific proejct.
