A two story LEED addition will be regularly accessed from a new stair/elevator tower as well as a corridor at each level that connects it to the existing building. A permanent entryway system is planned for the entry at each floor from new tower. Should we also include one from the connecting corridors at each level - treating the existing, non-LEED building as though it is an entrance from the exterior?

Hi Joyce,
You would just need a compliant entryway system between the outdoors and the LEED building. If a compliant entryway system exists in the existing building, or if walk-off mats can be added there, there would be no need to install something additional at the connecting corridor - anyone entering the addition that way would have already walked on something. But if that's not an option, then yes, you would need to address those connecting corridors.

Thank you for your quick response, Emily. Because the existing building has several points of regular entry, we will address the two corridors leading to the LEED addition.
