Hi all, I have some questions about a LED screen for this credit, light pollution reduction.
1) LED screens installed on building facades can play some video performance and advertising images. In this case, can these screens be the exemptions under "lighting for theatrical purposes for stage, flm, and video performances" ?
2) If not an exemption for this credit, is it possible to achieve this credit with LED screens? how do we evaluate the screens to achieve this credit? Can LED screens have BUG rating or be in the calculation method?
Please help!
Thanks.

1) Your description of the LED screens do not sound like they fit the theatrical exception. They are "internally illuminated signage" which is a separate exception.
2) To comply for interanlly illuminated exterior signage their brightness can't exceed 200 cd/m2 (nits) during nighttime hours and 2000 cd/m2 (nits) during daytime hours. Every LED screen I've seen has had the brightness shown in their literature. The very technical literature, not the typical marketing fluff. The BUG rating does not apply to LED screens.
