Just Want to Know

It may be a silly question. If both both low sloped and steep sloped roof material is same, why steep sloped roof requires lower SRI paint?

The material for steep-sloped and low-sloped roofs on a single project do not have to be the same, but if they are, they need to meet the more stringent requirements of the low-sloped roof. Low-sloped roofs are subject to more stringent requirements because for buildings with a large roof area relative to building height, the roof surface area is the main source of heat gain to the building. It is much more critical in these applications to use a "cool roof."
