Any thoughts how an insulated metal panel would (or would not be included) in the credit for the Option 1 path? I assume is would not need to be included as it is a factory-finished metal product and the insulation is encapsulated? - Thanks!

Hi Erin, I think you're safe excluding insulated metal panels from this calculation. I would argue that the interior metal skin is still part of the overall weatherproofing, and therefore the insulation is not inside of the weatherproofing layer. If you have an air barrier or other membrane inside of the metal panel, your case would be even stronger.

Thanks for your thoughts, Nadav. What about the Option 2 Budget Calculation path? Would the exterior wall (insulated metal panel) area be excluded from the calculation? Or would it be "inherently non-emitting" as the factory-finished panel is the finished interior surface?
