Is inputting meters in the Whole Building model a MBCx requirement?

Hi. Is it understood correctly that all energy, water and electrical meters (we have a lot more meters than even required by LEED) are not required to be entered into the Whole Building Simulation in order to compare the calculated with the actual measured for each meter?

Is it correct that this is not a requirement?
