I am working on a project in Beirut where there is a lack of municipal public transit options - thus making it a challenge to target this credit.
What has developed in the city is an informal system of private companies providing regular bus services to the general public along popular routes; stopping at logical areas (e.g. crossroads, outside hospitals, etc) to collect/drop-off passengers during the workday. There are no defined routes, bus stop locations or timetables available from these private bus companies which makes it difficult to demonstrate compliance with the credit requirements.
However, if I was to ask a colleague over a week-long period (Monday to Monday) to be based at one of these 'bus stops' and observe and collect the average number of bus trips on a weekday and weekend, would this be admissible as satisfactory and robust evidence to the USGBC?
Thank you.

Hi Ben, unfortunately, for this credit, I don't think this will work. Perhaps you can submit for an Innovation credit instead? You can certainly reach out to GBCI directly and confirm that the credit itself is not possible for your project. I'd also double check there are no available international interpretations that may apply here.
