Indoor Water Use Reduction - Occupancy clarification

The project building is a gym building (G+2). On the second floor, it has residential units for its employees. The employees who work in this gym building stay in these residential units. The gym operates for 8 hours each day. The total number of employees is 25, out of which 20 persons are currently occupying the residential units, and another 5 persons only work in the gym during its operational hours. In this scenario, how can I fill occupancy in the indoor water use reduction calculator?

create an 'EMPLOYEES' user group, list 25 fulltime equivelent employees per day.  create a 'RESIDENTIAL' user group, list 20 residents.  residential units will be occupied 365 days per year (unless there is a unique situation) Confirm number of days per year the gym will be open and list accordingly.  I would assume the people use the gym fixtures during their work shift and use the residential fixtures when not on thier work shift. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the information. However, I have one more doubt. As I mentioned before, this is a gym building that receives 150 people for a workout, and they spend 2 hours per day in the gym. For the Indoor Water Use Reduction calculator, there are two options to enter occupancy in this situation. One option is to enter FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) of the building as 25 employees and 150 persons as visitors. The other option is to calculate FTE as per LEED guidelines: FTE = full-time employees + { (part-time regular occupants * part-time occupants' spent hours) / 8 }. Using the formula, FTE = 25 + { (150 * 2) / 8 } = 63. Therefore, you can use 63 as FTE in the Employee group and 20 in the Residential group. Which of the options can I use? Thanks

I would list 150 visitors within the 'EMPLOYEES' user group and assume 50% of the gym visitors take a shower during their visit. So you'll need to override the default shower use per day in the calculator.
