Dear LEED friends,
It seems there is a glitch with the Calculator and Excel. Has anyone had the error on the Summary page show up, "Run time error '1004'?
We cannot get the Summary Page to show reductions. Tried on different team members computers with no success.
Please help.

No, I haven’t seen that error, the file normally works for me. Only suggestion I have is to open a new file, fresh from the LEED Credit Library and re-enter your numbers. Make sure macro is activated etc… Good luck!

I've had the same problem with the Water Calculator. Please keep us posted on any progress on getting this fixed.

We had the same issue! What worked for us was the following: open a blank Excel document, then go to File>Options>Trust Center>Trust Center Settings>Macro Settings and verify that Disable VBA macros with notification, Enable Excel 4.0 and Trust access to the VBA are all checked. Finally, download a new Water Calculator and fill out the information again.
We were unable to recover any previous versions that already had the run time error.
Hope it helps!

guidance provided by USGBC IT folks:
It seems like excel version 2112 is having some issues from the Microsoft side. The team has tested the excel calculator for version 2108 (Build 14326.20784) and it worked correctly. Their temporary recommendation is to downgrade the version and try to open the excel again. The IT Team is working on testing the excel latest version after version 2112 but that is in progress.

We downloaded fresh forms and it didn't work. How does one downgrade the excel version of the document? We have 2 projects stuck waiting to finish this form since - when did I first write that? Really unacceptable. Clients giving us and the program a whole lot of side-eye. Again and again, it feels like the USGBC just doesn't care about it's users.

Please also note that LEEDuser is not a direct connection to USGBC or GBCI. WIth technical issues like these, they need to know directly that there are problems and what those problems are. Best way to contact them is through this page: www.gbci.org/contact#
They also have an phone # listed there if you want more assurance that way that an actual person is logging a complaint. I generally prefer emails so that I have a traceable record I can access.
Alternatively, you can also email LEED Coach: leedcoach@usgbc.org
The calculators provided have often had functionality issues in the past, including this one for water use. Agree with the frustration that has occurred with the publishing of various glitched resources; there has long been a greater need for improved QC of the provided tools (and OMG LEED Online) before they're launched.

Gaston's steps worked for us too. Had to follow each step exactly - make sure to download a new form after changing the settings. Similar to others, none of the forms that had the error will work anymore.

So I just ran into this same issue, and it too was super annoying and frustrating. After reviewing this forum and unfrotuantely not having any luck after chaning the macro settings in Microsoft's Trust Center, I decided to add a 'Trusted Location' to the existing list, and it worked! To do this follow these steps: File>Options>Trust Center>Trust Center Settings>Trust Locations. At the bottom of the window, select 'Add New Locations' then 'Browse'. Find where the xcel file was downloaded, and select this location. I also restarted my computer just in case..since I feel this always helps! Hopefully this works for you all!
